Tina was so very young that I didn't know that she was my neighbor that
was time she was away at the dorm. My brothers and I visited new
neighbor and saw the girls as my age. I was playing with her sister, Linda
that I was screaming that her siblings suspected that I am deaf or my
brother told them that I am deaf so, her mom heard my scream. She
visited my mom's house to see my mom. I walked home from their house
and saw her mom was there that I was shocked to see her I wondered if
something was wrong with me or what. Her mom was so very cheerful and
said come on. My mom explained to me that her little girl is deaf. I
finally met Tina for little while. Her parents always treat me great just
like Tina. I still played with Linda for 1 or 2 years later they moved out
so suddenly but I was very stunned because I don't know where they were
going. I missed them very much. And then I was alone after they moved
out that was very best of my life as they were my neighbor.
I didn't see her for longtime for 6 years that I didn't know that some
deaf students moved to Sterck School for the hearing impaired from
Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. I saw Tina. I said that I remember
you but she still didn't remember me. I told her that you were my next
door when we were a little. She remember. OH That was OUR REUNION
finally. Tina and I became a very best friends so fast. She ran home to
tell her mom about me that she remember that she was my first class
after she moved to Sterck School from PSD. Tina and her mom visited my
mom's house to see us finally. That was so very rest all of us. Tina and I
always never stop talking in the class all the times when our teacher
wrote blackboard so he turned to look at us that we stopped talk with our
sign languages sometimes but he caught our sign language. He moved us to
different desk to separate but we still never talk in the class all the
times. We always sat down together at lunch school. We sometimes spend
time with each other some weekend.
Tina and I attended First Baptist of New Castle. She and I were so very
very stick together and always laughing so easy that we were having many
good memories. You see Tina and I never stopped laughing at the church
what people do with clothes or different but we tried to hold our laughing
that our interpret, Bessie were watching us. We always loved to go to
Deaf Fellowing at the church and Bessie's trailer after church every
Sunday nights. Tina and I always were so very much excited teenager. I
missed her very much after I graduated from Sterck School in 1974. I
was 5 months older than her. She always had sensibly, We had a lot of
commons. Tina and I still talk with our TTY like a big mailbox soooo noisy
machine that was very old but my parents can't sleep at night because of
TTY bother them. Tina finally graduated in 1975. We started go out a
lot and had a lot such fun time until she got married and had a baby girl
but we still see each other sometimes.
